History
Today, HSS is led by Tony York, CPP, CHPA - who serves as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. York began his career at HSS in 1994 and is today a highly regarded source of expertise on security issues. His articles and comments have appeared in international publications and media outlets such as CNN, Modern Healthcare, and The New York Times, as well as a number of industry publications. He is also a frequent lecturer on security and leadership.
George Schiel (CEO from 1976-2009) and Wayne Schell (CEO from 2009-2015) led HSS for many of its first 50 years and created a successful foundation for our next 50. Many of the achievements listed below were a direct result of their leadership and vision; they were important figures in the history of HSS.
