Your Challenge

Exp is currently searching for a Senior Healthcare (Mechanical or Electrical) Engineer/Project Manager to lead our healthcare group for our Orlando, FL location.

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working with our National Healthcare Leader to develop strategic planning for the Orlando Healthcare group
  • Identify, research, and qualify RFP/ RFQ's and upcoming projects for go/no go potential
  • Direct and lead submittals in response to RFP/ RFQ's.
  • Manage existing and develop new client relationships
  • Perform at a 'responsible charge' level; meeting exp's design and quality levels
  • Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours
  • Work with project team and clients to meet scheduled project milestones on multiple projects
  • Apply risk management procedures daily to minimize exp's and client's exposure to problems
  • Understand MEP/FP work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan
    • Understand proper scope of MEP/FP SD, DD, CD level documents - and deliver appropriate documentation
    • Coordinates with other disciplines (MEP/FP, architectural, structural, etc)
    • Edit and develop scope of work narratives (SD narrative, basis of design, etc)
    • Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases
    • Thorough knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical codes and ACHA requirements
    • Advanced equipment selection and analysis - generators, UPS units, Lighting inverters, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handling units, exhaust fans, air terminal units, DX equipment, and water source heat pumps, etc
  • Be able to direct and mentor designer level staff on all of their responsibilities on a daily basis
  • QA/QC reviews of all calculations by designers, and provide guidance and mentoring

The Skills and Knowledge You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 10+ years of building HVAC or Electrical design experience
  • Business Development experience required
  • Registered Professional Engineer in State of Florida required.
  • 7+ years of healthcare facility design
