Your Challenge

Exp is currently searching for a Senior Inspector for our Maitland, FL office.

Your Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

  • Oversee, document, review, and assess contractor's compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Preparation of tender specifications, contracts and cost estimates.
  • Fully document all activities on site during the duration of the contract and prepare inspection reports.
  • Review construction documents and drawings for constructability issues and to reduce the potential for extra work orders during construction.
  • Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments for work performed.
  • Assist the Project Administrator in preparing various internal/external reports and other status reports to Client.
  • Assist the Project Administrator with the review of contractor submissions (critical path schedules, change proposals, etc.) for compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Supervision and mentoring of Junior Inspectors.
  • Possibility of weekend and evening work as dictated by time constraints in the contract.

The Skills and Knowledge You Bring

  • High school graduate or equivalent plus four (4) years of experience in construction inspection, Two (2) years of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection with the exception of Complex Category 2 (CC2) bridge structures or;
  • Civil Engineering degree and one (1) year of road & bridge CEI experience with the ability to earn additional required qualifications within one year.
