Compounded Product Sales Specialist

Candidates must live within the assigned territory or close proximity of the geographic area of Orlando, Florida.

The role of Compounding Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert and will work collaboratively with Account Managers to identify opportunities, provide education to veterinary customers and influence buying decisions in order to grow compounding product market share within a designated region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Master the breadth of compounded product solutions available to veterinary practices including APIs, dose forms & flavors as well as the technology enabled platforms to order compounded products.
  • Stay current on laws and regulations pertaining to prescribing compounded medications in aligned states.
  • Train colleagues on compounded product sales techniques and value proposition
  • Conduct Covetrus Personalized Care Pharmacy presentations in large and small group settings.
  • Analyze, create and execute on a territory plan to gain new prospects and consult with existing practices to engage for revenue growth.
  • Responsible for compounding sales with targeted accounts in assigned geographical area.
  • Responsible for completing a territory business plan with key essential wins identified as part of the plan -Executing the plan as the year progresses will be expected.
  • Complete all set objectives, achieve sales goals while operating within an assigned expense budget.
  • Act as a liaison with local veterinary associations coordinating efforts surrounding the state VMA meetings.
  • Coordinate & execute meetings in conjunction with aligned account manager.
  • Speak about compounding in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each individual customer; customize discussions and interactions based on appreciation of customer's needs.
  • Meet with key personnel & decision makers to best understand practice structure and business needs.
  • Develop a strategy for individual customers that both meets their designated needs as well as your business goals.
  • Partner with Account Managers & Strategic Account partners to maintain strong focus on key accounts and corporate owned clinics to drive occupancy and sales growth.
  • Work collaboratively across all teams to foster our Company's approach to enhance knowledge of the entire compounding business.
  • Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Works with leadership to develop and deliver relevant offerings that address desired customer needs
  • Develop current comprehension of specialty products, industry trends and competitor landscape
  • Articulates and conveys relevant customer, industry, product, and market trends appropriately through the organization.
  • Accountable for developing and meeting learning and development objectives agreed upon with leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years sales experience
  • Veterinary, compounding or pharmaceutical experience a plus

  • In-depth knowledge of companion animal veterinary products.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Companion Animal Market and products available

  • Travel ~80%, primarily local region
  • Ability to lift at least 25-50lbs on occasion (sales materials & samples)
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have the ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows.

$65,100.00 - $120,900.00
