Job Description
We are looking for a Structural fitter to join our talented team. You’ll get to read blueprints, set specifications, lay out plans for structural fitting, and precision. You should be able to use pneumatic and hydraulic tools following safety guidelines.
If you also have strong numerical and communication skills, and you find great excitement in seeing the structures you built work, we’d like to meet you.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read Blueprints and interpret blueprints to determine how to build items to design.
  • Cut and shape metal, measure all metal pieces to ensure they conform to needed specifications, often grinding and shaving metal to ensure it meets specific measurements.
  • Install pieces and align metal parts by hand and by using various tools.
  • Lift metal pieces into place using hoists and cranes.
  • Weld metal weld metal pieces together using proper tools and safety equipment.
  • Design Molds to create metal parts to specifications.
Structural Fitter Skills and Qualifications
  • Measuring skills to take accurate, precise measurements of materials and to follow schematics and blueprints
  • Mathematical skills to translate blueprints into physical metal pieces that can be used to build structures
  • Attention to detail, following precise plans and assemble structures as designed
  • Mechanical ability and skills to work with various tools and equipment such as: Hand tools, power tools (grinders, jacks) welding tools (torches, aprons, face masks) measuring tools (measuring tapes, rulers, squares), and Lifting tools (hoists, cranes, cables)
  • Analytical thinking skills to interpret blueprints and construct structures as designed on paper
  • Communication skills to collaborative with our team environment that requiring good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in shifts and/or overtime                                                                                                                                                                                        Job Type: Full-time
