Job Description:

Exxelia USA, Inc. (part of Exxelia Group & Heico Corp) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Production Operator to perform multiple operations and tests necessary to manufacture components. These include assembling, soldering, lead attach, cleaning, potting, taping, assembling, testing and related operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform multiple operations and tests necessary to manufacture components. These include assembling, soldering, lead attach, cleaning, potting, taping, assembling, testing and related operations in accordance with work order manufacturing instructions, and other appropriate documents.
  • Work under the guidance of the Group Leader to perform and complete assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Set-up, adjust and operate equipment. Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.
  • Make inspection decisions and use proper judgment to ensure conformity of product to specifications.
  • Follow all production procedures as outlined and follow schematics and simple engineering sketches.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
  • Identify and report unsafe operations to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Escalate quality issues as appropriate.
  • Ensure work order quantity accuracy and paperwork/electronic work order integrity to assure product lot traceability via product labeling and operational processing.
  • Make simple calculations, input job order information into the system, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities. Train other employees when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information or documents.
  • Participate in other projects and activities as required.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with typical production software applications.
  • Ability to interpret simple drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with a demonstrated sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and work with a variety of people from diverse cultures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must have ability to use hand tools, soldering irons and torches, set-up and operate semi and automatic equipment, machinery and/or processes.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with a variety of chemicals and gases.
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with others (verbally and written form).
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
