Transaction Services Controller is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the organization's accounts receivable (AR) and treasury functions, ensuring efficient management of billing, credit, collections, and payments. This strategic position is critical in driving the company's cash generation goals and maintaining robust relationships with our customers and vendors. The role involves strategic oversight of managers and outsourced service providers to maintain the integrity of financial transactions and reporting, contributing significantly to the financial health and operational excellence of the company.

How you will make a difference @ FARO:

Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage teams responsible for AR and Treasury processes.

  • Oversee the performance of outsourced service providers, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.

  • Accountable for the performance and results of the transaction service organization.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Manage billing operations to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.

  • Oversee credit management, establishing credit limits and terms for new and existing customers.

  • Own and drive collections efforts to manage receivables and limit bad debt exposure.

  • Handle Travel & Expense (T&E) reimbursement process, ensuring adherence to company policies.

Treasury Operations:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the company's cash flow, including DPO management by monitoring and forecasting cash requirements in various jurisdictions.

  • Ensure compliance with local tax statutes.

  • Lead and manage external, statutory, and internal audits for the transaction service organization, upholding the highest levels of financial integrity and transparency

  • Own and lead the periodic close processesfor transaction services, including the detailed review of aged transactions, preparation of bad debt analysis and collaborating with the accounting team to ensure timely and efficient book closing.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual metric reporting on transaction services for management review.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements.

  • Lead projects to implement new technologies and improve transaction processing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline finance operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing large multinational AR and treasury or accounts payable functions

  • Proven leadership experience managing geographically diverse teams and working with external partners.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger structure, and compliance.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Advanced Excel skills required.
