GAI Consultants is seeking a Senior Project Technical Specialist to provide professional analysis and technical leadership on water infrastructure projects and support to one or more project teams. This position is based in our Orlando, FL office and may involve local travel to client or project sites 1-3 days per week intermittently, for specific project needs.

Job Duties:

  • Prepares and maintains project plans, tracks project progress and prepares evaluations, technical memoranda, system maps, and designs for clients or project stakeholders.
  • Review project requirements, identify interdependencies with internal or external departments or service providers, delegate responsibilities, and ensure that work is completed as needed.
  • Schedules cross-functional meetings to facilitate collaboration.
  • Maintains project-related documentation, and submissions.
  • Completes complex evaluations, technical reports, and design packages for water and wastewater-related projects.

Experience and Education:

  • Performs work under minimal supervision.
  • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
  • May act as a lead or first-level design supervisor.

Qualifications

Education
Masters of Civil Engineering (preferred)
Bachelors of Civil Engineering (required)

Experience
10 years: Progressive experience with public sector infrastructure design/ construction. (required)

Licenses & Certifications
EIT (required)
Driver's License (required)
