Acara Solutions is looking for an Electrical Engineer for our Client located in Orlando, FL
- We have an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL. Types of electronic systems you may work with include, but are not limited to: mission computers, data acquisition systems, avionics power supplies, batteries, encryptors, encoders, RF transmitters/receivers, inertial navigation systems, flight sensors, flight termination systems, actuation devices, subsystem controllers, and automated test equipment. Essential Functions50% - Use Electrical Engineering knowledge to support the definition and assessment of interoperability of various electronic systems on flight vehicles and associated support equipment. This will include the design and maintenance of schematics and other related engineering documentation. This may also include defining electronic system architecture, electronic assembly design, performance predictions, and external vendor support for various engineering assemblies.25% - Provide Electrical Engineering expertise to support the integration and troubleshooting of a wide range of electronic assemblies. This will include opportunities to lead non-conformance investigations and corrective actions. This may also include opportunities to be an active participant during system level testing, flight events, and associated missions.25% - Provide Electrical Subject Matter Expertise during Acceptance and Qualification Testing of Electronic Assemblies used in an Aerospace/Defense Application.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of related, post college experience
- Minimum 5 years experience with schematic capture
- Minimum 5 years Circuit analysis skills
- Minimum 5 years' experience with lab equipment and electronics troubleshooting
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical professionals at all levels
Additional Information:
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
- Candidate must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
