Acara Solutions is hiring Electro-Mechanical Technician II
in Orlando, FL

This is an ongoing contract position with opportunity for hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday/6:00am-2:30pm

Pay Rate: $30/hr.

Performs repair operations, within his / her area of technological specification, in accordance with technical documentation and the time allocated, using the resources available and inspects his / her own work. Responsible for the intermediate repair, maintenance, test, and modifications of electro-mechanical equipment in accordance with FAA regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and repairs electro-mechanical equipment to component level in accordance with FAA regulations
  • Modifies equipment according to service bulletin and/or manufacturer documentation
  • Works in collaboration with experienced Rotable technicians
  • Carries out prescribed procedures according to an established schedule
  • Receives training in the use of more specialized repair and test equipment
  • Follows specific repair processes to perform preventive maintenance on AC/DC generators
  • Review work orders to ensure customer requested activities have been complied with, prior to release of the repair
  • Work is reviewed by Rotable Technician IV, supervisors, and inspectors
  • May work on alternative assignments with detailed written or oral instructions
  • Completes quality and production paper work, prepares estimates, and maintains maintenance documentation in accordance with current quality assurance requirements
  • Communicates with cross-functional departments as required to support repair process
  • Participates in Technician cross-training programs and may be assigned to other teams for short or long term assignments
  • Completes repairs in accordance with company ISO procedures and within company objectives
Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:


  • Minimum of two (2) years related experience in servicing electro-mechanical equipment, maintenance or production experience preferred in commercial airline and/or aviation product support field.
  • Must have understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and other governing regulatory requirements
  • Able to meticulously document incoming product condition and maintenance activities
  • Possess a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must pass a 7-year background check and drug test upon offer of employment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior military or commercial aviation repair.maintenance experience
  • FAA Repair Certificate
  • Able to meticulously document incoming product condition and maintenance activities

Specialized Knowledge & Skills
  • Familiarity with hand tools and or not limited to use precision measuring tools such as Micrometers and Calipers.
  • Familiarity with tooling lathe and various air tools
  • Must have experience using a PC (personal computer)
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to understand and speak English in order to read technical literature, follow oral instructions and communicate with cross functional team members.
  • Identify mechanical and operational problems and take corrective actions to repair
  • Ability to use basic and advanced test instruments and perform adjustments as necessary
  • Willing to think out-of-the-box to solve operational and technical problems

  • General office and electronics Lab environment
  • FAA approved repair station
  • Position subject to FAA drug program requirements
  • Occasional overtime and flexibility in work schedule
  • Some stress may occur
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
