Senior Associate, Backup Engineer

We're seeking a future team member in the role of Backup Engineer to join our Technology Services Group (TSG) Backup and Recovery Engineering team. This role can be in our Pittsburg PA or Lake Mary FL office locations.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Architect and design backup and recovery solutions
• Build and deploy backup and recovery solutions.
• Test and validate version upgrades and patches.
• Integrate backup and recovery capabilities to VMware vCenter systems.
• Integrate backup and recovery capabilities to databases.
• Integrate backup and recovery solution to existing automation and reporting system.
• Develop automation to support integration with various systems.
• Assist with support and administration of existing backup tools.
• Responding to backup incidents in a production environment providing level 3 support
• Maintain departmental documentation.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or at least 3 years of equivalent work experience required. 0-3 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• 3-5 years' experience as a Cohesity DataProtect platform engineer
• 5 years' experience as a backup storage engineer
• Experience integrating backup and recovery solutions to backup and recovery VMware vCenter servers.
• Experience integrating backup and recovery solutions to backup SQL Server databases.
• Experience using product API to automate and integrate functions.
• Hands-on experience implementation and supporting backup and recovery solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of backup and storage infrastructure and how they are used to backup and recovery data.
• Knowledge about Cisco UCS and Cohesity Whitebox Hardware
• Strong analytics skills and data management experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior financial services or other highly regulated industry experience
