We are currently looking for a Water Resources SME to join our consulting team. The qualified individual will have a positive attitude with an interest in learning, and flexibility to work with a range of individuals.

The Water Resources SME will provide services to the Water Practice. The successful candidate will have at least 25 years of experience in water resources and strong interpersonal and communications, skills with a demonstrated track record of industry leadership and engagement. The ideal candidate must have water resources experience with a specialty in seawater Intake and outfall planning, impact assessment, permitting, design and operations globally, in marine and freshwater environments, for desalination, waste and cooling water discharge applications. The ideal candidate should also have connections to research institutions and academia support Worley customer's complex applications in the subject area. This is a part-time role with opportunity to work remotely in a work-from-home capacity and on an as-needed basis. As our ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role, your responsibilities will consist of the following tasks:

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

As this is a parttime, non-exclusive position, subject to the candidate's availability and mutual agreement:

* Provide subject matter expertise, specifically in seawater and freshwater intake and outfall applications, including environmental impact assessment, permitting, planning, design, construction, and operations. This knowledge should extend globally to multiple regions, including, the Americas, Middle East, and APAC

* Support customer projects and business development as requested

* Serve as "Technical Authority" and provide senior technical review withing subject matter area as requested

* Support literature searches and research and testing programs for Worley customers as needed

* Help develop effective technical presentations and deliverables; act as 'technology function spokesperson' in client and external presentations as requested

* Identify "gaps" in subject matter expertise and technology capability, to strengthen and further differentiate our offering

* Encourage knowledge capture and digital asset development and monetization

* Support IP research, development, and monetization

* Drive technical thought leadership and brand development (jointly with Worley and/or customer (with pre-approval))

Qualifications

* Master's Degree or PhD from an accredited technical curriculum

* 25+ years of experience in the water resources industry

* Connections with academia and other research institutions in subject matter area, including marine ecology and biology assessment and impacts

* Understands current water trends/technologies

* Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to review and edit reports, documentation, and other client deliverables

* Demonstrable commitment to HSE management

* Working knowledge of industry standards and ISO9001 quality management systems.
