C2 seeks a Naval Aviation Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) well versed in RRL working in a hybrid environment based in Orlando, FL.
Summary
The Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the development of curriculum and content for various aviation related courses that are being modified under the Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) program. This position draws upon Navy experience to contribute to training development across multiple platforms and Navy Enlisted Classifications. This role involves collaborating closely with instructional designers and educators to ensure that the course materials align with the learning objectives and meet the needs of the target audience. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and expertise in the subject area covered by specific Navy Enlisted Classifications, along with a strong background in curriculum development and instructional design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert knowledge and insights related to the subject matter covered by applicable NEC and/or airframe.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers to develop a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the course objectives and meets the needs of the learners.
  • Provide recommendations to RRL team regarding changes to individual training requirements to ensure compliance with established policies.
  • Develop high-quality course materials, including presentations, handouts, case studies, assessments, and other instructional resources.
  • Conduct regular reviews of course content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness. Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and make necessary revisions as needed.
  • Ensure that all course materials meet industry standards for quality, accessibility, and usability.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to the subject matter. Conduct research and analysis to identify relevant resources and incorporate them into the curriculum.
  • Provide training and support to instructors and facilitators involved in delivering the course, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and resources to effectively engage learners.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of the curriculum development process, including lesson plans, course outlines, and assessment criteria.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree in aviation, engineering, education, or related field. Relevant past experience, trade school, and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of advanced degree.
  • Proven expertise in the subject area covered by the applicable NEC and/or airframe, with a minimum of 6 years of experience working in the field.
  • Strong background in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment, with the ability to build consensus and drive results.
  • Assist with updating analysis, design, and development of products to include: Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA); Training Project Plan (TPP); Course Training Task List (CTTL); Training Course Control Document (TCCD); Course Master Schedule (CMS); Instructional Media Design Plan (IMDP); Instructional Media Materials; Testing Plan
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), instructional design tools, and multimedia technologies.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master Training Specialist (MTS)
  • Previous experience developing courses or training programs for Ready Relevant Learning program.
  • Certification in instructional design, curriculum development, or related field.
Required Experience
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Excellent oral communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Experience with US Navy Instructional Theory and Development to include working knowledge of NAVEDTRA 130 series instructions.
  • Experience in AIM CPM/LOM
