Position Summary
Act as an SME (subject matter expert) on running all EMI tests. EMI: Electromagnetic Interference tests/measurements of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment and subsystems using standard and precision measurement instrumentation.

Responsibilities

* Test Design - Provides SME support to Engineers to help design test procedures and specifications
* Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data. Often mentors less experienced Technicians in the process
* Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
* Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
* Other - Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
* Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Often acts as a facilitator and team leader
* Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures
* Regular interaction with clients
* Able to troubleshoot and rework complex tests
* Highly advanced interpretation and analysis of test results; regularly called upon to provide input on test results
* As a highly skilled specialist, contributes to the development of concepts and techniques. Highly advanced understanding of complex concepts in DMM, Oscope, power supplies; understanding of RF measurement techniques and the use of various RF measurement instruments (specifically Spectrum Analyzers, EMI Receivers, Network Analyzers, EMI receivers, Power Meters); advanced knowledge of all potential aspects of safety
* Able to use all standard and complex EMI equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data; able to use TILE (Total Integrated Laboratory Environment) test software; able to construct AC/DC circuits; basic MS Office skills; strong mathematical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Requirements
* HS Diploma or GED. Technical Certification, AA or AS in Electronics/Electrical strongly preferred
* 10+ Years
