Overview

Florida Health Care Plans, Inc. is seeking an MD, DO, or an Advanced Practitioner to Float to our 6 Extended Hour Care Center locations in Volusia County, home base will be in Ormond Beach.

Summary

This position is three 12-hour shifts / 36 hours weekly, with a rotating (every 3rd) Saturday.

Qualifications

* MD / DO / Advanced Practitioner

* Minimum 3 years' post licensing experience, working independently, in Extended Hour Care Clinics.

Education, skills, and experience

* Graduate of an accredited program, MD, DO, or Advanced Practitioner program.

* Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.)

* Foreign body removal

* Laceration repair, Suturing skills

* Abscess I & D

* Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures

* DOT Certification required within 30 days

* Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighter's physicals, etc.)

* Occupational Medicine

* Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (good typing & computer skills)

* Worker's Comp experience preferred

* Great Customer Service and Communication skills with patients and their primary care physicians

7. EHCC Hours: 7 AM - 7:30 PM (half hour lunch) 3-12s with a rotating Saturday.
