The (PB) Coding and Charging Assistant Director manages the PB Department coding functions, charge capture and reconciliation functions, coding and documentation education and vendor management. Contributes to the goals of the department and organization to meet coding completion and accuracy expectations. Assistant Director, will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our PB Coding Operations and contribute to achieving department and organizational revenue cycle goals. Responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from developing quality and performance indicators to providing guidance on coding data accuracy. Additionally, the role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Revenue Cycle, Clinical, and Compliance Departments, to support accurate and compliant medical record documentation for coding accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • AAPC certification
  • Minimum of 8 years management experience
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience of a coding team in an acute care hospital or physician group
